Stafford Motor Speedway Opens The Season With Overflow Of Cars In SK Modified Pits
STAFFORD – For many weekly divisions at local short tracks, consolation events have become a thing of the past. Lowered car counts across the board in recent weeks for most local racing divisions means there’s usually no need to send drivers home before feature racing.
That isn’t the case for Stafford Motor Speedway’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified division at this weekend’s season opening Tech-Net Spring Sizzler.
Fans at the track today will get a little extra bang for their buck today with a pair of consolation events on the schedule for the SK Modified division.
Thirty-four cars are signed in for qualifying action today. Thirty cars are scheduled to start tomorrow’s 40-lap feature for the division.
SK Modified division qualifying is part of a busy schedule today at Stafford. The schedule also includes qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, qualifying for all weekly divisions and features for the SK Light Modifieds, Limited Late Models and DARE Stock division.
