30-Year Mortgage Rates Dip To 3.54 Percent National Average

Average fixed mortgage rates dropped nationally as the 30-year fixed remained below 4 percent for a year, according to figures released Thursday by Freddie Mac.
The 30-year rates averaged 3.54 percent, down from 3.63 percent the previous week. The 15-year rates averaged 2.72 percent, down from 2.79 percent.

Here are the numbers in New England.

This week:
30-year: 3.57 percent
15-year: 2.75 percent

Last week:
30-year: 3.64 percent
15-year: 2.83 percent

A year ago
30-year: 4.08 percent
15-year: 3.31 percent
