30-Year Mortgage Rates Drop to 3.93 Nationally

Mortgage rates dropped slightly in the past week, with average rates nationally for 30-year fixed-rate loans at 3.93 percent and 15-year loans at 3.04 percent in the past week, according ot data released Thursday by Freddie Mac.

Here are the numbers from New England:

This week
30-year: 3.95 percent
15-year: 3.06 percent

Last week:
30-year: 3.97 percent
15-year: 3.09 percent

A year ago
30-year: 3.70 percent
15-year: 2.97 percent
