The average fixed rate nationally for a 30-year mortgage moved slightly higher to 3.56 percent in the past week, according to data released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.
Fifteen-year rates remained at 2.77 percent.
Here are the numbers from New England:
This week:
30-year: 3.58 percent
15-year: 2.81 percent

Last week:
30-year: 3.56 percent
15-year: 2.80 percent

A year ago
30-year: 3.95 percent
15-year: 3.20 percent
