iLunar Sound-In-Round, Paradigm Speaker System Developed With Apple Among Fall Highlights
What’s new, what’s coming up this fall in home entertainment:
Time for a little fall window-shopping, a quickie preview of what might tempt the serious gift-buyer in the next couple of months.
Paradigm Millenia CT 2.1 System and AERA Radio: The Canadian speaker company developed the Millenia CT (for “Compact Theater”) with Apple, so the three-piece system — two speakers and a subwoofer — can be used with an Apple TV, a cable box or even as a desktop system. The subwoofer powers the speakers and has all necessary audio connections so this $699 system does not need an audio-video receiver.
The $599 AERA is Paradigm’s answer to the Sonos Play:3, a smallish stand-alone speaker that streams music from an iPad or iPhone. It also has an instantly outdated 30-pin dock connector for the millions of yesteryear’s Apple products.
