Bonus bloggage: TBL is joining other consumers willing to spend some discretionary funds Saturday, Feb. 25, to see African guitarist Lionel Loueke at Crowell Concert Hall at Wesleyan University in Middletown.
TBL loves the guitar style — swift, nimble, buoyant and joyous — of traditional African music. Loueke, born in Benin (West Africa), has a strong background in jazz, having graduated from Berklee College of Music and performed with Herbie Hancock, among others.
