It’s love season, with Valentine’s Day tomorrow, but look how mobile love has become.
According to inMarket, makers of the CheckPoints shopping rewards app:
>> 1-in-5 Americans have dumped, or been dumped, via text message. That’s 10 percent more than UK residents, according to a Jan 2012 study.
>> 17 percent of Americans have actually said “I Love You” for the first time via text.
>> 25 percent of Americans text their significant other 10-plus times per day.
>> 40 percent have deleted a text they didn’t want their bf/gf to see, while 42 percent admitted to checking their significant other’s phone for messages.
