Monday Morning Wakeup: Mark Turner

Mark Turner, a former New Haven resident, is among the most underrated saxophonists in jazz. Not sure Kathelin Gray is much of a showcase (and it reminds me of Ornette Coleman anyway) but it’s a good start to the week. This is from his 1998 big-label debut. (Note that it’s a 10-minute start.)
