Mortgage Rates Down: 30-Year Averaging 4.41 Percent

Mortgage rates dipped slightly in the past week, reacting to indicators of a weakening economic recovery, according to data released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.
Thirty-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 4.41 percent nationally, down from 4.51 percent the previous week. Fifteen-year rates averaged 3.45 percent, down from 3.56 percent.

30-year: 4.39 percent
15-year: 3.42 percent

Last week
30-year: 4.50 percent
15-year: 3.55 percent

A year ago:
30-year: 3.43 percent
15-year: 2.72 percent
