Mortgage Rates Down For Third Straight Week

Mortgage rates continued to fall nationally in the past week as 30-year rates averaged 4.22 percent and 15-year rates 3.29 percent, according to data released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.
A week ago, 30-year rates were 4.32 percent and 15-year rates 3.37 percent.

The numbers in New England:

This week

30-year: 4.24 percent
15-year: 3.33 percent

Last week:
30-year: 4.36 percent
15-year: 3.39 percent

A year ago:
30-year: 3.39 percent
15-year: 2.71 percent
