Mortgage Rates Edge Slightly Higher: 30-Year At 4.39 Percent

Mortgage rates pushed higher ever so slightly in the past week, with national averages for 30-year loans at 4.39 percent and 15-year loans at 3.43 percent, according to data released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.

A week ago, the averages were 4.31 percent (30-year) and 3.39 percent (15-year).

The numbers from New England:

This week
30-year: 4.43 percent
15-year: 3.45 percent

Last week:
30-year: 4.34 percent
15-year: 3.42 percent

A year ago
30-year: 3.57 percent
15-year: 2.84 percent
