Mortgage Rates Ending 2012 Near Record Lows
It’s still a great time to buy a house or refinance your existing mortgage: rates end the year near record lows, with 30-year fixed rates at 3.35 percent nationally and 15-year fixed rates at 2.65 percent, according to data released Thursday by Freddie Mac.
The 30-year rates dropped 3.37 the previous week while 15-year rates were unchanged.

This week:
30-year: 3.38 percent
15-year: 2.68 percent
Last week:
30-year: 3.41 percent
15-year: 2.68 percent
A year ago
30-year: 3.96 percent
15-year: 3.28 percent
