Mortgage Rates Hold Steady: 30-Year At 4.40 Percent

Unlike the stock market, mortgage rates have held steady in the past week, with the national average for a 30-year loan remaining at 4.40 percent, according to data released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.
Rates for 15-year mortgages averaged 3.44 percent in the past week, up from 3.43 percent the previous week.

30-year: 4.42 percent
15-year: 3.46 percent

30-year: 4.42 percent
15-year: 3.44 percent

A year ago
30-year: 3.62 percent
15-year: 2.90 percent
