Mortgage Rates On The Rise After Weeks Of Record Lows
This week
30-year: 3.57 percent
15-year: 2.84 percent
It’s like a snowstorm in August! Mortgage rates actually went up in the past week, as the 30-year fixed rate averaged 3.55 percent nationally, up from 3.49 percent, according to figures released Thursday by Freddie Mac.
The average 30-year rate had set or matched record lows in 13 of the past 14 weeks.
The average 15-year rate also increased to 2.83 percent, up from 2.80 percent.

30-year: 3.57 percent
15-year: 2.84 percent
Last week:
30-year: 3.52 percent
15-year: 2.81 percent
A year ago:
30-year: 4.38 percent
15-year: 3.53 percent
