Mortgage Rates Push Higher: 30-Year Averaging 4.53 Percent

Mortgage rates increased for the third week in a row, with 30-year rates averaging 4.53 percent nationally, according to figures released Thursday morning by Freddie Mac.
Fifteen-year rates averaged 3.55 percent, up from 3.52 percent the previous week. Thirty-year rates averaged 4.48 percent a week ago.

This week:
30-year: 4.52 percent
15-year: 3.55 percent

Last week

30-year: 4.48 percent
15-year: 3.52 percent

A year ago:
30-year: 3.38 percent
15-year: 2.68 percent
