Mortgage Rates Push Higher Nationally: 30-Year At 3.42 Percent

Mortgage rates moved slightly higher nationally in the past week, with 30-year loans at 3.42 percent and 15-year loans at 2.71 percent, according to data released Thursday by Freddie Mac.
The numbers from last week: 30-year, 3.38; 15-year 2.66 percent.

And here’s how it looks in New England:

This week:
30-year: 3.45 percent
15-year: 2.74 percent

Last week:
30-year: 3.43 percent
15-year: 2.72 percent

A year ago
30-year: 3.99 percent
15-year: 3.25 percent
