New England Fixed-Rate Mortgages Edge Lower
Average fixed-rate mortgagesin New England dropped in the past week after a rare uptick last week.
The 30-year average was 3.70 percent, the 15-year 2.97 percent, according to figures released Thursday by Freddie Mac.
Nationally, the 30-year average hit a record-low 3.66 percent. The 15-year average was 2.95 percent.
