NPD: Hulu Accounted For 43 Percent Of Free-Streaming TV Shows in 2012

For free Internet streaming of television shows, nobody beat Hulu.com in 2012, according to a report by The NPD Group.
Hulu accounted for 43 percent of all free-streamed TV shows on the Web last year. Websites of five major TV networks — ABC.com, CBS.com, CWTV.com, Fox.com and NBC.com — represented 30 percent of total streams. The remaining Top 10 streaming sites are cable networks A&ETV.com, abcfamility.com, comedycentral.com and MTV.com.
NPD says 12 percent of TV views stream shows without paying int he past 90 days while 14 percent watched using a for-pay video-on-demand service.
