President Obama’s Spotify Playlist (REO Speedwagon?)
The White House has announced President Obama’s 2012 Spotify playlist that, fortunately for the president, comes with an asterisk: though it includes some of Obama’s “favorites,” the remainder of the list was compiled by campaign staffers.
That gets Obama off the hook for populating the list with Ricky Martin (“The Best Thing About Me Is You”), Noah and the Whale (“Tonight’s the Kind of Night”) and, gulp, Reo Speedwagon (“Roll with the Changes”).
Of course, many have an election-theme message, like Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky.”
Others on the 28-song playlist are obvious Obama favorites, like Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” which the president even attempted to sing (briefly) an a fund-raiser recently.
If you’re a Spotify subscriber, you can see the entire list here.
