Twitter, after admitting that the “Find friends” function on its mobile app downloads users’ full address book (with names, numbers and email addresses) and retains the data for 18 months, says it will update the app.
But it won’t be to eliminate the invasive actions, only to tell users that contact information is being taken and stored.
