Connecticut Light & Power warns that scammers identifying themselves as CL&P representatives are calling customers with a $40 rebate offer before requesting their utility account and Social Security numbers.
CL&P’s advice:
>> Hang up and call police.
>> Never give out personal information to any unsolicited caller.
