The Weekend Consumer: D&D Market, ShopRite

A couple of excellent buys this past weekend: the escarole chicken sausage at D&D Market on Franklin Avenue ($2.99 a pound when you buy 5 pounds) and the wild-caught, vacuum-packed frozen salmon at ShopRite for $4.99 a pound.
The chicken sausage is incredible on the grill. D&D also sells fresh-made hamburger, less than 10 percent fat for $2.99 a pound when you buy 5 pounds. Great burgers.
