\"schlesinger\"Speaking of gambling, former U.S. Senate candidate Alan Schlesinger has poked his head up in Florida with a plan to run for Congress in the Palm Beach area. Schlesinger was the Republican candidate in the infamous 2006 race that pitted Ned Lamont against independent Joe Lieberman. Schlesinger, a former mayor of Derby and casino card c0unter, collected just 10 percent of the vote.
