Blumenthal, 25 Other Sens. Request More Data On Hate Crimes Against Sikh, Hindu and Arab Americans

by Categorized: Richard Blumenthal, Washington Date:

Sen. Blumenthal joined a group of 25 other senators, led by Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Dick Durbin, to request more data on hate crimes targeted at Sikh, Hindu and Arab Americans. The senators sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director Robert Mueller asking them to revise the Hate Crime Incident Report form so data on such crimes could be collected. While the FBI is currently considering these changes, the senators urged them to expedite the process and add the anti-Sikh, anti-Hindu and anti-Arab hate crimes categories and begin tracking the information \”as soon as possible so that law enforcement can more effectively respond to this threat.\”

\”These senseless acts of hate-fueled violence committed against individuals and groups leave a deep impact on the targeted community as a whole,\” the letter read.Last August, 7 people were killed during a mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The letter included the words of Harpreet Singh Saini, who lost his mother during that tragedy. He told the Senate Judiciary Subcommitee on Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights, of which Blumenthal is a member, he was testifying \”to ask the government to give [his] mother the dignity of being a statistic.\”

  1. Sharpshooter

Where’s the outcry for crimes against Americans in ‘Arab’ occupied countries…like Benghazi…we’re governed by morons…

You got that right Sharpshooter. How about these politicians worry a little more about connecticut’s and our country’s dismal economy and a litte less about trying to drum up voters and supporters for their campaigns.

  3. Connecticut is Dying Too

Meanwhile, Rome burns and NerObama plays the fiddle….

By the way, who is investigating all the “knockout” victims across the country at the hands of black gangs?
