Blumenthal Targets Ticks

by Categorized: Uncategorized Date:

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal will take his tick fight to a high school in New Haven – which was built inside a park that is home to \”Lyme-bearing ticks.\”

Blumenthal will appear Friday at Common Ground High School in New Haven, situated inside West Rock Park, with health officials to talk about taking precautions against tick bites (not sure how they feel about the idea of building a school inside a tick-infested park).

In a press release, his office noted that Blumenthal \”introduced the Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Protection, Education and Research Act, which would help develop better tools for diagnosing and reporting Lyme, as well as increase awareness and education in the medical community.\”
