Bysiewicz, Murphy Set to Debate Sunday
Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Susan Bysiewicz and Chris Murphy will debate Sunday, just days after tangling over Bysiewicz’ new attack ad.
The two candidates will meet at 2:30 p.m. at Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.
The debate comes on the heels of the Bysiewicz campaign’s new ad attacking Murphy for receiving “more hedge fund money than any other democrat in Congress.”
That isn’t true and the campaign later had to walk back from the allegations.
The debate, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Connecticut Education Fund, Cablevision and Hearst Media Services Connecticut will be covered by Cablevision and also be streamed on the Hearst newspapers websites.
It isn’t the final debate between the two Democrats: They will meet again on July 30 at the Garde Arts Center in New London. The two candidates will compete in an Aug. 14 primary.

Beat me, whip me — I want more…
I want more $4.00+ gas, rising unemployment, slow growth, more Monopoly Money to inflate food prices, more inflation, 47 million food stamp recipients, $1.5+ trillion deficits, $16.4+ trillion in debt, more illegal immigrants, anemic housing markets, unprecedented growth in new job-killing regulations, record levels of federal spending, more sub-prime loans forced by Congress, incredible levels of crony-capitalism and corruption, lower bond ratings, more Solyndras and more GM bailouts, more Jimmy Carter-type malaise, increasing medical costs, fewer doctors, more Michelle Obama nutrition lectures, more looney Supreme Court nominees, more ignoring of Congress, endless apologies for American excellence, more attacks on people who work hard and succeed, unbridled union power, and continuous lefty ‘occupy’ protests.
Yes, we need more Democrats supporting Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and four more years of El Exigente, Barack Hussein Obama, to give us the pain and suffereing that we so greatly desire and enjoy.
Please, please, give us yet another deep-blue Democrat legislator to help drive Connecticut over the cliff.
Choose wisely in November, Connecticut. Choose a Republican.
