Auditors Question The State’s Operation Of D-SNAP Food Stamp Benefits

The state auditors issued a long-awaited report Thursday on how the state handled the D-SNAP federal food stamp program, which was thrown into controversy last year and prompted more than 100 state employees to be fired, resign or retired. Many of those who were fired have since gotten their jobs back after a ruling by an independent arbitrator.
