Cheers! Lawmakers Give Package Stores the Ability to Hold Larger Wine Tastings

The state Senate on Wednesday gave final legislative to a bill that would permit package stores to open more bottles of beer, wine and liquor during tastings.

House Bill 6212, approved by consent in the state Senate, increases the amount of alcohol the store can open, from four bottles to 10.

Bill Would Grant Honorary High School Diplomas to Vietnam Veterans

House Unanimously Passes Bill To Close Legal Loophole in Sex Assault Statutes

The House of Representatives Tuesday unanimously passed a bill that would make it easier to prosecute those who sexually assault people with severe physical and developmental disabilities.

Supporters of House Bill 6641 say it would close “a legal loophole” in the state’s sexual assault statutes by clarifying the legal definition of “physically helpless.”
