Colt Employees Fear Job Losses

Middletown resident Lewis Lamson is a manufacturing engineer at Colt. He was one of approximately 1000 employees who showed up at the LOB Thursday morning, arriving in a fleet of buses and holding signs reading ‘Save Our Jobs.’

Lamson said that while the effect of an assault weapons ban wouldn’t be so drastic to require the company to shut down, moving to another state was a definite possibility.

“I would move in a second,” he said. “Colt’s been very good to me.”
