Colt\’s Mfg: We Want To Be Part Of A \’Reasonable\’ Solution

A representative from Colt\’s Manufacturing Co. speaks at at press conference sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Federation. The NSSF said the firearms industry accounts for 7,300 jobs and $1.75 billion a year in economic activity in Connecticut, and wants to participate and be part of the solution in the post-Newtown gun control debate. The group opposes gun ownership restrictions now being proposed and wants better government screening procedures to keep guns form criminals and the mentally ill.

    what a waste of a perfect opportunity to present the views of responsible gun owners and believers in the Constitution and Bill of Rights – those same rights that allow freedom of speech to the news reporting agencies. Honesty and full disclosure are obviously too much to expect on this discussion
