Congressional Delegation Will Greet Team Of 26 Cyclists Riding On Washington

\"shrow\"On Tuesday, Sens. Blumenthal and Murphy and U.S. Reps. DeLauro, Larson, Himes, Courtney, and Esty will greet 26 cyclists on the West Lawn in front of the Capitol. \”Team 26\” or the \”Sandy Hook Ride On Washington\” will be cycling from Sandy Hook Elementary School to Washington D.C. to demand action on gun control.

The cyclists will cover a distance of close to 400 miles. Two of them have children who attended Sandy Hook Elementary and the others include professional athletes, teachers, parents, a veteran, and a Newtown Police officer. Rep. Jim Himes will ride with them for part of the way. One of the riders, listed on the Facebook page as an \’honorary member\’ is Chris McDonnell, father of Newtown victim Grace McDonnell.

The riders will hold a rally on Saturday at 8:30 am before they leave. Pat Llodra, Rabbi Shaul Praver, and other community leaders will send them off, as will both senators and Reps. Esty and Himes.

    Here we go, our representitives arent worried about the failing economy or lack of jobs in Ct, they need another photo shoot with the media. It is amazing these people just keep on campaigning even after they are voted into office.

      Yep, it’s all about looking like they care in front of the camera, suck the blood out of public support as long as possible, even if they ignore their duty
