Connecticut Is One of 8 States To Be Helped By Feds

In an announcement to be made today, Connecticut is one of eight states to be granted a waiver in the federal No Child Left Behind program.

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, a friend of President Barack Obama, is coming to Hartford to make the announcement in the ornate Old Judiciary Room.

The other states receiving the reprieve today include New York, Rhode Island, Ohio, North Carolina, and others.
