Elections Complaint Filed Against State Rep. Geoff Luxenberg, a Manchester Democrat, Over Dispute in Norwich

by Categorized: 2013 Election Date:

The State Elections Enforcement Commission is investigating a complaint by two registrars of voters against state Rep. Geoff Luxenberg, a Manchester Democrat who is a freshman at the state Capitol.

The Democratic and Republican registrars in Norwich said Luxenberg was \”negative and combative\’\’ in dealing with the registrars that involved raising his voice and threatening to take legal action if they did not provide him with an emergency ballot application for an elderly woman named Lorraine Silverberg, according to Courant reporter Jesse Leavenworth.

Luxenberg, who runs a consulting firm that advises various political candidates, says the complaint by the two registrars is \”baseless, untrue, and politically motivated.\’\’
