To prepare for her new job as Connecticut’s newest member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Elizabeth Esty went back to Harvard.
Along with 46 of her new colleagues, Esty spent four days earlier this month at the Bipartisan Program for Newly Elected Members of Congress, run by Harvard University’s Institute of Politics.
Esty, who is 53, graduated from Harvard in 1981. Since then, the Democrat from Cheshire has held many titles: law clerk, attorney, stay-at-home mom, PTA member, town councilor and state representative.
