The New York senator, Democratic playmaker and former chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, slipped into Fairfield County Friday afternoon to endorse Chris Murphy.

Schumer, who acknowledged Murphy’s slow start, said Connecticut may determine whether Democrats retain control of the U.S. Senate.

Jenny Wilson caught up with Schumer in Stamford.

Schumer was joined by U.S. Sen. Chris Coons from Delaware, a Greenwich native and Yale grad. He is best remembered for beating Christine O’Donnell in 2010.

    Shumer’s endorsement of Murphy is a good reason to vote for Linda.

      What a blatantly absurd comment. Senator Schumer is a highly respected, informed, and dedicated public servant. There is no good reason to vote for Linda as illustrated by her canned and repetitious debate performance. She continues to make up “facts” which she repeats over and over. Please do some reading, beyond Linda. Keeping yourself informed is the road to good citizenship. And YOUR responsibility as an American.
