Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley has written state legislators after his tumultuous appearance before the Government Administration and Elections Committee this week. Foley was testifying in favor of a bill that would make it a felony for legislators or immediate family members to work for outside contractors, nonprofit groups or companies that do business with the state of Connecticut. He said he’s not targeting legislators who work for, say, Yale University or Federal Express. His bill, which is dead on arrival, would affect numerous Democrats and Republicans in the General Assembly.
