Foley Clarifies: I\’m Not Out To Get All Of You

by Categorized: 2014 Election, Tom Foley Date:

Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley has written state legislators after his tumultuous appearance before the Government Administration and Elections Committee this week. Foley was testifying in favor of a bill that would make it a felony for legislators or immediate family members to work for outside contractors, nonprofit groups or companies that do business with the state of Connecticut. He said he\’s not targeting legislators who work for, say, Yale University or Federal Express. His bill, which is dead on arrival, would affect numerous Democrats and Republicans in the General Assembly.

I just checked with some friends at the LOB and they confirm that the members they work with have received no such message. The mistruths never stop from the Foley campaign.

Really?? It took 2 written pages for Tom Foley to “clarify” his intent of the bill. I guess the “Great Communicator Foley” was unable to properly articulate it in the political performance he gave on Monday. In his letter he now excludes “client lobbyists?” Why??? Could it be that HE has employed lobbyists in his various companies in the past (BIBB) or he’s got elected officials on his payroll? Gee…the very thing he’s railing against he’s doing himself. That’s the very definition of a Hypocrite.
