Fundraiser For Donovan Is Postponed Due To Investigation

John Millington, a former executive for Time Inc., says he believes fellow Democrat Christopher Donovan would represent Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District well and was prepared to throw his financial support behind the candidate.

But then Donovan’s campaign finance director was arrested amid a federal investigation.

And Millington, who was planning to hold a fundraiser in his town of Washington (Conn.) Friday, postponed the affair.

“If none of this had happened, I would have had the fundraiser,” said Millington, a member of the Washington Democratic Town Committee.
