Gabby Giffords, Roxanna Green in Newtown Bee

by Categorized: Gun control, Newtown Date:

Gabrielle Giffords and Roxanna Green promise not to give up in an essay published in the Newtown Bee today. Giffords is the former Arizona congresswoman wounded in a 2011 gun attack in Tucson. Roxana Green\’s daughter Christina died in the shooting that killed 6 and wounded 13 people.

…  We do not choose the grief we feel – but what we do choose is what our grief is to us – what it motivates us to do. Today, we  choose and pledge that we will take our grief, and on behalf of our loved ones and those lost in Newtown, in Santa Monica, in Aurora, and so many places that don’t make headlines, we will not stop fighting until our government has come to its senses.

These people are tools of the Obama controlled media. Why aren’t they fighting for the root cause of the actual cause of these mass killings? The poor state of mental health care in the USA. Why does their issue outweigh the constitutional rights of the millions and millions of law abiding, legal gun owners? What would more laws do to prevent mass killings? Isn’t murder already illegal? What murderer pays attention to laws? This logic is so shallow it hurts to hear it. The laws they are fighting for will do nothing but lead to further stripping of rights from law abiding citizens. It is a slippery slope to stop when the people telling you how to live get too much say in your life. They become addicted to making rules for you just like a junkie, they won’t stop until you have to ask them permission to inhale and exhale.
