Giffords And Kelly Launch National Campaign To Fight Gun Violence
Former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords and husband Mark Kelly announced Tuesday a gun control initiative to, “launch a national dialogue and raise funds to counter influence of the gun lobby.” Writing in an op-ed for USA Today, the couple announced the launch of a new website, Americans for Responsible Solutions, that demands congressional action on the issue.
“Congress has done something extraordinary–nothing at all,” said the former Congresswoman and her husband, who, with Americans for Responsible Solutions, want to engage the public on issues of gun control and create a strong counter lobby to the NRA. “Until now, the gun lobby’s political contributions, advertising and lobbying have dwarfed spending from anti-gun violence groups,” wrote Giffords and Kelly, who criticized fear tactics used by the NRA to misinform the pubic and intimidate lawmakers.
The couple, who met with public officials and families of Newtown victims last week, pointed to the Newtown massacre as evidence that it was time for both the public and their elected officials to take steps to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
Here’s a report from ABC News, which will air a full interview with Giffords and Kelly later today.

We need to ban all of these evil wicked assault guns, magazines and the ammo used in them. The people who own these sinfull weapons of mass destruction pose a threat to all of us, and we should take these guns away from them before a another nut job comes out.
Guns are the tools that the “nut job” uses to vent his anger.
Here’s a novel idea…..instead of funding a stupid busway to the tune of $315mm…..put the money where it’s needed.
MENTAL HEATH !!!!!!!!!
If this “nut job” had the help that he needed….maybe he wouldn’t have taken his frustrations out on innocent children
these actions were commited by mostly younger youth and as a parent if you do anything they cry child abuse adam lanza was removed by his mother because he was having problems in school by 9th grade why didn’t anyone followup on the progress of him every one closed their doors and eyes and how about reformed / repeat offenders [ what is really happening is they are blaming gun owners for what the socalled dogooders have caused in public what about the last three prisoners released killed agian? why were the even released and the person that released them should be charged also so stop blaming guns….you should be blaming your selves for your justice system which has failed.

Everytime we have a shooting or mass murder the Liberal politicians as well as the news media shout for more gun control.
Why do we not hear from those same people to control the content of video games, UTubes, etc. that has caused our 30 year olds and younger to be desensitized to the point of total lack of empathy or sympathy for others.
We have removed God from our schools, courts and public squares. What do we expect?
Look out for this present generation as they mature!
