It’s all pink at the Governor’s Residence this month, where the home of Dan and Cathy Malloy will be decorated with pink ribbons and wreaths and pink lights will shine at night. Cathy Malloy kicked things off Friday morning with remarks in front of the mansion in Hartford.
In Connecticut, state health officials estimate that more than 450 women will lose their lives this year from breast cancer. Nationally, nearly 40,000 additional women will lose their lives to the disease. The Connecticut Department of Public Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program provides cancer screenings throughout Connecticut for women who have low income and who have no or limited health insurance.
