Dr. Jill Stein of Massachusetts, who says she has clinched the Green Party’s nomination for president, will be in Woodbridge for a fundraiser Friday, two weeks before the party’s national  nominating convention in Baltimore.

Stein will discuss Thursday’s Supreme Court decision on health-care reform and the Green New Deal jobs program, according to a release from the Connecticut branch of the party.

The fundraiser is planned for Winchester Restaurant at 12 Selden St. in Woodbridge, beginning with a meet and greet at 5 p.m. and a speech by Stein at 6:45 p.m., the campaign said. Stein’s campaign website lists a suggested donation of $50 for the meet and greet, and $25 to $250 for the speech.

Stein, a physician and environmental expert, graduated from Harvard College in 1973 and from Harvard Medical School in 1979. She lives in Lexington, Mass.

The Green Party’s presidential nominating convention is scheduled for July 12 to 15.
