Greenberg Update: Still Running, Gathering Steam

by Categorized: 2014 Election, Elizabeth Esty, Mark Greenberg Date:

And out in the hills, a couple more Litchfield County Republican town committees have endorsed Mark Greenberg, increasing the likelihood that U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty will face a conservative challenger in 2014.

Greenberg has been endorsed by Republicans in Roxbury, Southbury, Salisbury and Watertown. The Greenberg campaign released a comment from Salisbury Republican Town Chair Chris Janelli, who said the 5th District is \”very winnable\” with \”a principled conservative Republican\” as the nominee.

Mark is NOT a goofball. H also is not some establishment prep school lawyer RINO wallflower who needs to lie about their former life to get the nomination, to only then lose because there is not dime’s worth of difference between them and the Democrat. Mark’s got the marketing savvy to run a strong campaign, and to remain on point. Republicans would be wise to coalesce around one candidate early. Mark has got it exactly right going after those who are now familiar with his past campaign, who had buyer’s remorse over the past, by their choice fragmenting the base over five candidates, and then choosing an establishment candidate who spent his time judging vegetables and pigs at country fairs, instead campaigning in the cities he needed to win. Mark will consolidate the base, and will win the nomination, and then make Esty a one-termer.
