Groundhog Day? Blumenthal To Celebrate Same-Sex Marriage Decision…Again

by Categorized: Richard Blumenthal Date:

The U.S. Supreme Court\’s landmark ruling on same-sex marriage has kept Sen. Richard Blumenthal busy this summer.

The Connecticut senator has held at least two gatherings celebrating the court\’s decision overturning a portion of the Defense of Marriage Act and is planning to hold another one on Monday at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

Monday\’s press conference is billed as a \”celebration\” of the DOMA repeal and its impact on same-sex bi-national couples. Blumenthal is also calling on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to immediately re-open and expedite legal cases of bi-national couples denied the right to live together in the U.S. due to DOMA.

In the days since the June 26 court ruling, Blumenthal held a press conference at Hartford City Hall and a party at Tisane restaurant in Hartford.

Fund Raising PR. Nothing Dick loves better than rich gay men. As of 2013 anyway …….You know the Democrats reading of Ellis Island. Give me your huddled masses of greenbacks ye public sector union chiefs, ye unfortunate LGBT oriented people, and ye fallen women with abortions. We will raise a toast high for you at every fundraiser …..
