Healy Says He\’s \”Listening\” to Those Pressing for Him to Run For State GOP Chairman

UPDATE: Healy says in a tweet that he is out of the running.

Former state Republican Chairman Chris Healy is being urged to seek the post again and he says he\’s listening to those who are urging him on.

\"HEALYGOP\"\”A group of [state central] people, donors and other fellow travelers are asking me to consider it so we are listening and seeing if its real and if it would be productive,\’\’ Healy said Saturday via Facebook message.

Asked when he will make up his mind, Healy said \”well, the election is Tuesday. Pretty soon.\”

Current Chairman Jerry Labriola, who has just completed his first two-year-term and is seeking reelection, declined to comment. Also seeking the party\’s top spot is former congressional candidate and motivational speaker Wayne Winsley and tea party activist Ron Wilcox.
