Democrat Chris Murphy is getting a little help from his colleagues–and K Street lobbyists.

Politico’s Anna Palmer and David Levinthal report that the Democratic U.S. Senate candidate held a DC fundraiser last night. In addition to Murphy friends in Congress, Rep. John Larson and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the guest list was studded with the names of prominent lobbyists from firms such as FedEx, Google, Goldman , Sachs, American Express and Microsoft.

The campaign of Murphy’s Republican opponent, Linda McMahon, mailed a link to the Politico story to reporters this afternoon.

One Response to K Street To Murphy’s Rescue

  1. JWilliam421 says:

The man who crticizes Linda McMahon for outsourcing jobs takes a jaunt down to DC to take thousands from companies that actually do outsource. Of course the media just sits there and doesn’t bother challenging Murphy on this.

    Hey Daniela-

If Murphy is so pro US jobs, why does he think it is okay to take campaign contributions from these companies that are proven outsourcers? How about asking him this question: Mr. Murphy, are you not being a hypocrite by taking money from companies that outsource? Would love it if the press would start holding these politicians accountable regarding what they say and do.
