Key legislative leaders have been meeting privately with members of the Malloy administration in an effort to reach agreement on an education reform bill.

Rep. Andrew Fleischmann, D-West Hartford, who co-chairs the legislature’s Education Committee, said the areas being negotiated include the rollout of a school turnaround plan that would create a commissioner’s network of low-performing schools.
