Fresh off speaking with Vice President Joe Biden during a gun-control conference Thursday in Danbury, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is in Washington, D.C. this weekend for a series of meetings with the National Governors Association.

Those meetings and events include several trips to the White House, including one to see Biden and President Barack Obama with other governors on Friday.

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Malloy is scheduled to attend sessions at the JW Marriott Hotel near the White House with governors from around the nation at the annual winter meeting. He’s also expected at the White House for a dinner on Sunday night.

    Wow…he sure figures out a way to get to Washington every chance he has….I’m afraid one of these days he’ll stay there to accept a cabinet position….
