From Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s spokesman, Andrew Doba:

“It’s frustrating, especially because the bill passed the Senate with bipartisan support.  Governor Malloy has been very clear that communities affected by Sandy need assistance for the damage they incurred.   He also believes we must make a concerted effort to mitigate future storm damage, and that means securing federal help to improve our infrastructure.  Investing that money now means we will reduce the cost of future storms.

“This federal assistance would have been a big help to communities across the state.  But for reasons only the House GOP leadership can explain, that aid has been postponed to the next Congress.”
