Malloy To Appoint New Chief Counsel

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy\’s office has announced a 2:30 news conference to make a personnel appointment.

According to CT News Junkie, Malloy will name U.S. Treasury Department Deputy Assistant Secretary and amateur country singer Luke Bronin as his top lawyer. Bronin will replace Andrew McDonald, who Malloy nominated to the state Supreme Court.

Bronin was a Rhodes scholar and his 2007 wedding to fellow Rhodes scholar Sara Galvan was featured in the New York Times Vows column. That prompted a follow-up in Gawker, which deemed the couple \”basically perfect.\”
