Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s sparring with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie made for enetrtaining TV but when a massive fire struck Seaside Park and other shorefront communities ravaged by Superstorm Sandy, Malloy was quick to offer help.
“I called Governor Christie this evening and pledged whatever support we can provide for this summer-time landmark,” Malloy said in a statement issued Thursday night. ”After the tremendous effort to get the Jersey shore rebuilt after Super Storm Sandy, the fire that ravage the boardwalk today is an unimaginable next chapter. We stand ready to help in whatever capacity we can.”
